Using
humor and real life stories - I help business owners identify the
factors necessary for their success. I help them take charge of their
organization's future. The Internet offers Main Street an opportunity unique in history
-
but only those who take the right steps at the right time will be the
winners. Having family business advice for a solid Internet strategy is vital if the owner's dreams for the
business are to come true.
Whether it's a luncheon or after-dinner keynote, a
"kick-off" presentation at a National Trade Association
meeting, or a half day workshop on how the Internet can be your bridge
to the success in the 21st. Century - audiences are always entertained
and informed. "My presentations motivate the audience to action while
the sponsoring organization provides a value added service to its
members."

Sample Topics Include:
- Family Business Internet Strategies
Never before have the tools for growth been as available as they are
today. Business owners from all over the country are asking,
"How can the Internet make us more profitable, make our
advertising dollars go further, make our marketing efforts more
producrive and our inventory turnover faster?"
I demonstrate how growth and increased profitability can be
accomplished by leveraging resources already at hand. This
presentation is ideal for a group wanting to focus in the future of
their business and industry in a highly competitive, fast changing
world.
- Digital Profits, the new model for
distribution - online. The Internet provides businesses the
opportunity to support their traditional distribution channel and
become a direct marketer at the same time. Sophisticated software
previously available only to Fortune 500 companies - is within your
reach.
Now you can harness the Internet for your resellers, your direct
customers, and your organization's benefit. After a keynote
presentation concerning family business advice, I often present "hands on" detailed sessions
for the people serious about doing something, not just hearing about
it.
- What's a Nice Midwestern Guy Like You
Doing, Living in New York City?
This humorous and award winning presentation describes my reactions
to being in New York City at age 10 - on my way with my mother to
meet my dad stationed in West Germany. And returning here to live
many years later - of my own choice.
This is a great ice-breaker presentation at a luncheon during a
day long seminar or as an after-dinner presentation during the
association's meeting. New York City is an exciting place and this
is a funny and insightful presentation (for people interested in
visiting here and those who think you'd have to be nuts to live
here). Each person will say that it confirms what they already
believed - whether they want to come here or not.
- "The Dot-Com's New Clothes".
Hans Christian Anderson was born on April 2nd., 1805. In his
wonderful story, "The Emperor's New Clothes", he describes
how a King and his court convinced each other and themselves that the
invisible cloth from which his new suit was crafted was quite the
'Next New Thing'. Then some kid in the crowd pointed out that he
really didn't have anything on, as he paraded down the street. Don't
you just hate it when that happens?
If Mr. Anderson was alive today he would have created this
insightful and entertaining presentation. He would have had the
courage to stand up to the Wall Street mavens, the mainstream media
who hyped ridiculous ideas, and the so-called business owners whose
silly companies were solutions in search of a problem to solve.
It was therefore left to me to tell this story. My roots in the
real world made it easy for me, and the message was not initially
popular. I presented it for the first time in New York's Silicon
Alley. That was over a year ago, before the crash - and there were
some knowing looks from members of the audience. Now that reality
has set in, it has become a favorite and "timely" message.
