The content of Family Business Strategies comes from three sources.Since the beginning our content has been written FOR established companies 20 to 100 year old.

Over time we have added to what we know from our own experience, the insights of others - in order to broaden the scope of our content and to address the interests of companies who were newer and were looking for direction.

We write from our experiences and observations. This is something we’ve been doing online since 1999 so we have a pretty good eye for what established mainstream companies want to know.

In addition, stories are contributed to us regularly by folks we know and trust. They are either written with us in mind or have limited distribution elsewhere (such as in their trade association) so you won’t see them all over the place.

We launched our blog in 2004, but with the demands of our consulting business, we found it impossible to keep up with. We found, as most people have, that with everything else we all have to do - that we lost our momentum and posted so infrequently no one cared what we were saying.

Then we came across a new and unique service. The service has a database with about a quarter of a million articles in it.

The articles are easily sorted by subject and previewed before we use them. We can set up the articles in our blog’s “Scheduled Entries” area where they are cued up to be published days and weeks in advance.

That’s why there are more articles shown for each category than are in the archive - they are waiting to be published weeks and months from now.

Now we don’t have to be concerned about losing steam - these great articles go our regularly - our individual posts are added as we have the opportunity to do so.

This advanced publishing system allows us to personalize each article with “Tips” randomly throughout each of them. The system itself selects some of the tips - based on thee ones we tell it we want to use.

However since we have so much relevant content of our own we are adding our own tips to the mix. The end result is totally unique content for our readers. And our tips remind readers of other resources we’ve already put together for them somewhere else on our web site.
